Univision anchor Maria Elena Salinas is offering her Coral Gables, Florida, home, designed by prominent architect Phineas Paist, for $3.45 million.

Ms. Salinas purchased the 1937 Spanish style home, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, in 1995 for $550,000. The historic property was one of the last homes designed by Paist, whose work included several Coral Gables landmarks on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, such as the Venetian Pool, Coral Gables City Hall and the Colonnade Building.

"Ms. Salinas has lived in the house for 22 years now, and both her daughters have gone to college, so she’s ready for a new chapter in her life," said Gabriela Dajer, the listing agent with ONE Sotheby International Realty.

The house, with 4,536 square feet of living space, has three bedrooms upstairs with one en suite bathroom and a shared Jack and Jill bathroom between the other two bedrooms. The master bedroom upstairs includes a sitting area and a master bath with a separate tub and shower, whirlpool/spa, and bidet.

Downstairs, there is a room that could serve as a den/office or an additional bedroom with attached bathroom, along with a family room, living room, dining room, and an eat-in kitchen. The kitchen features a Miele dishwasher, Wolf gas range and warming ovens, and a Subzero refrigerator.

A separate guest house/maid’s quarters with private entrance has one bedroom and a bathroom that can double as a cabana bathroom for the outdoor pool.

The heated pool and whirlpool, with automated chlorination, sits off a covered terrace in the rear of the house, which features a living area, television and barbecue.

Framing the entrance to the home and driveway is a garden that includes a water fountain, lighting, and surround sound speakers for outdoor entertaining.

A two-car garage, which houses the washer and dryer, is supplemented by covered parking for two, and a driveway that will accommodate four or more cars. The house, which is walled and gated, sits on a corner lot with 22,500 square feet.

"Coral Gables is known for its historic properties with many homes built in the 1920s and 1930s," Ms. Dajer said. "This house is unique because of its large lot size. In addition to the pool, there’s plenty of green space for the addition of a playground. The neighborhood is a very safe, quiet area that’s great for families with small children."
